Pedestrian struck on Leesburg Pike

Updated, 11:40 a.m.: Fairfax County police said a man was struck by a car in a hit-and-run just after midnight Monday, according to The Post's Crime Scene blog.

It happened in the 6100 block of Leesburg Pike, where an unconscious man was discovered lying on the service road.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Investigators do not have any information about the car that hit him.

Original post: A man was struck by a vehicle in Fairfax County early Monday, TBD.com reports.

Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck near the 6100 block of Leesburg Pike about 12:45 a.m. When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from trauma to the head and upper body. The driver of the vehicle that struck the man remained at the scene.

There was no immediate word about the man's condition.
