Arlington schedules phone network outage
Arlington County officials say the county’s phone network will not be available on Sunday, Oct. 24 from 4 a.m. to about 8 a.m. to allow for the installation of new equipment.
Residents who have water or sewer issues during this time should call the Arlington Police's non-emergency number 703-558-2222 if it is a non-emergency situation or 911 to report a genuine emergency.
The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) will then contact the Control Center via a direct line that will remain functioning independent of the County phone system. The County’s Water Control Center number (703-228-6555) will not be working at this time.

Who gives a crap about this. Why isn't the WaPo reporting on the electrocution fatality at a national park that occured earlier today? Get off your @$$es and do some real investigating.
