Armed robbery charges for 3 Va. teens
Three Prince William County teenagers have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery early Friday morning, ABC 7 reports.
Two 17-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy have been charged by the Stafford County Sheriff's department with armed robbery, possession of a stolen firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Authorities said the victim reported that he was walking home from work about 2:30 a.m. near Pinnacle Drive and Highpointe Boulevard when two people came up behind him, displayed handguns and told him it was a "stick up". The victim was ordered to the ground and searched for money. The robbers took his duffel bag, authorities said.
The teens were tracked to the England Run area, where a motorist told police about boys lying underneath a vehicle nearby. Deputies apprehended the three and recovered items from the robbery, officials said.
