Body found on rural road in MoCo
Montgomery County police are investigating the death of a young man whose body was found overnight on a rural road in the northern part of the county, authorities said.
The body was found in the 4900 block of Brookeville Road, a short distance from Route 108 and near a farm that is a mulch supplier. The location is in the county’s Brookeville section, about halfway between Gaithersburg and Clarksburg.
Police said they were called to the site about 1:50 a.m., by someone who had seen the body. The death is being investigated as “suspicious,” police said, with the cause of death to be determined via autopsy.
The young man’s identity has not yet been confirmed, police said, and no additional information was available.
