Bowie man on trial in teen sex assault
Jury selection is expected to begin Monday in the trial of a Bowie man charged with sexual assault of a 17-year-old student, The Baltimore Sun reports.
Charles Ray Moore, who worked as a JROTC instructor at Atholton High School in Howard County, is charged with fourth-degree sexual abuse of a minor and sexual abused by a person in authority.
Moore is accused of assaulting the girl over a two-day period in May. Officials say he first asked the girl to go into a supply closet with him, where he kissed and fondled her. The next day, authorities say the two returned to the closet and had sex with the girl.
Moore was arrested after the girl told her mother, who then notified police.

Well duh! You mean it isn't a good idea to have sex with students when you're member of the staff at a school? Who'd have thought that?
