D.C. police investigate NW vehicle fires
Authorities are investigating several vehicle fires in the Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant neighborhoods in northwest Washington.
The D.C. fire and EMS department says there have been multiple vehicle fires across the city between Aug. 24 and Sunday. Officials say a few of those have been reported near the Woodner Apartments in Columbia Heights.
Officials say at least five car fires in the area are believed to be suspicious and deliberately set.
No injuries are associated with the fires. Authorities say most of the fires have occurred late at night or early in the morning.
Fire investigators and D.C. police detectives believe a person or a group of people may be involved in the incidents.
