Fairfax police shoot and wound Herndon man

A Herndon man shot by Fairfax County police early Friday after pointing a gun at them is hospitalized with life-threatening wounds, police said.
The shooting occurred at a house in the 2500 block of Fallon Drive, just west of the Fairfax County Parkway. Police were called there at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday for a reported domestic situation. The Crime Scene blog has the story.
