Four-year-old injured in 3-story fall
A 4-year-old Montgomery County boy fell from a third-story window shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday and was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
The boy fell from a window in a home in the 21800 block of Seneca Ayr Drive in the Clarksburg area. Rescue officials said the boy landed in bushes surrounding the home.
The boy was able to move, was conscious and was with his mother when officials arrived, said Montgomery Fire and Rescue Capt. Oscar Garcia. The boy's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Garcia said it was unclear whether an adult was supervising the boy at the time of the fall or whether the window had a screen or other barrier on it.
Because the child was injured, Montgomery police were investigating the incident, Garcia said.
