Md. man dies at Laurel construction site
Howard County police and state work-safety officials are investigating an accident at a construction site in which a man working for a construction company was struck by an excavator and killed.
Morgan Tyler Gainer, 34, of Ellicott City, was working at a residential construction site at the intersection of Palace Hall Drive and Skylark Boulevard in Laurel on Monday morning when he was struck in the head by an excavator.
Gainer was working for Elkridge-based W.F. Wilson & Sons.
Fellow employees called 911 at 7:50 a.m. to request medical units. When police and fire and rescue units arrived, Gainer was dead.
A preliminary police investigation has found no signs of foul play.
