Howard police investigate stabbing
Howard County police are investigating the stabbing of a 37-year-old man early Monday in Columbia.
Few details are available, but police said the victim, Clifton Epps, arrived at his home in Columbia about 7:30 a.m. suffering from multiple stab wounds. A family member called authorities, and he was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma, where he is listed in critical condition.
Investigators believe the stabbing occurred a short distance from Epps’s residence, in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 7600 block of Woodpark Lane. Police believe Epps ran home immediately after the incident.
Police said detectives are working to determine what led to the stabbing and do not have information to release about possible suspects or motive.
