Inmate hangs self in Frederick Co.
A Frederick County Adult Detention Center inmate hanged herself in the medical unit 10 days ago, the Frederick County Bureau of Investigation reported Tuesday, according to the Frederick News-Post.
Valerie Ann Miller, 40, of Walkersville, was pronounced dead at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Her funeral was Thursday.
The bureau made details available to the public Tuesday morning, nine days after the hanging, citing a need to notify the family and complete its investigation. A relative of the woman said she was pleased with law enforcement efforts regarding her family.
