Man barricaded in MoCo with machete
SWAT officers and police crisis negotiators are converging around a Silver Spring home, where a man is reportedly inside with a machete, Montgomery County officials said Wednesday morning.
A woman and two young teenagers who were inside managed to get out, and reportedly are not injured.
Police want to get the man out safely and "see what kind of help he needs," said Capt. Paul Starks, a Montgomery police spokesman.
Officers were first called to the home, in the 10400 block of Haywood Drive, at 9:15 a.m., police said. The three people inside got out at 9:28 a.m., police said.
