Man charged in D.C. robberies

By Martin Weil

A 23-year-old Forestville man has been arrested in connection with three robberies and a robbery attempt in upper Northwest Washington, D.C. police said.

Three of the incidents occurred Dec. 4 between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m on Wisconsin Avenue, Jennifer Street and 43rd Street. In the 43rd Street incident, a victim was shot during a robbery attempt, police said.

Five days after those incidents, police said, a woman was robbed on Harrison Street NW.

On Monday, police said, Ryan Nathaniel Collins was arrested and charged with three counts of armed robbery and one of assault with intent to rob while armed in the four incidents.

Well, now: what a surprise. Ryan Nathaniel Collins charged in four armed robbery incidents.

Interesting to note that a PG County jury last year acquitted him of a slew of charges including carjacking while armed. The judge thought his offenses and the evidence were enough to hold him on $300,000 *cash* bond. But those PG jurors, they don't like sending "another young black man to prison"---no sir, not in PG. They think police always lie. And look what happens: a bunch of additional armed robberies and a shooting.

Those PG jurors must feel so proud of helping to catalyze this thug's violent criminal career. A shame he didn't cause havoc back in PG instead of DC (likely he did, but 'stop snitching' in Maryland these days means 'don't even report the crime.')

Prince George's County, Maryland has got to stop exporting felons....

Just wondering but how do you know that the jury was made up of nothing but black jurors?

I just hope that the "all-white jury" doesn't let that crazy guy who shot and killed those people in Tucson, AZ go because they don't want to send a "white man " to prison.
