Man convicted of swindling elderly wife
A Montgomery County jury has convicted a man who married an elderly woman in the front seat of a car of swindling more than $100,000 from his wife and neglecting her so badly that she had to be hospitalized, Crime Scene reports.
Roger Greenberg was convicted on charges that include embezzlement, theft and exploitation. He was acquitted of first-degree neglect but convicted of second-degree neglect.
Prosecutors had alleged that Greenberg married 83-year-old Evelyn Zucker as part of a massive swindle.
