Man dies after scooter crash in Fairfax
A man died after crashing his scooter on a Springfield road, and Fairfax County police are investigating whether he may have had a medical emergency that caused the accident.
Passersby called authorities after they saw a scooter veer from the road into the median area near the intersection of Rolling Road and Hooes Road just after 8 p.m. said Officer Tawny Wright, a police spokeswoman. The man driving the scooter was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police investigation continues, Wright said. The man's name has not been released.
