Man dies weeks after being shot in D.C.
A man who was shot in the Adams Morgan area of the District last month died Monday and police are investigating the matter as a homicide, authorities said.
The victim was identified as Victor Chigoziri Mba-Jonas Jr., 20, of 4th Street, in Laurel.
Police said he was shot about 2:30 a.m. June 27 in the 2500 block of 17th Street NW. He was taken to a hospital and died Monday afternoon, police said.
