Man fatally shot in Prince George's
A man was shot and killed Thursday night in the Palmer Park area of Prince George's County, police said.
About 8:40 p.m., county police were called for the sounds of gunshots in the 7700 block of Oxman Road, said Cpl. Erica Johnson, a police spokeswoman.
A man was found on the ground. He was pronounced dead on the scene, Johnson said. His name has not yet been released.
The shooting happened near the Parkview Baptist Church, also on Oxman Road, but police said it didn't appear that the incident was connected in any way with the church, Johnson said.
