Man shot at Temple Hills bus stop
Metro Transit Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday just after 9 p.m. at a bus stop in the 3400 block of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills, a spokesman said.
An unidentified man was shot once. He has been transported to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries were not believed to be life threatening, according to Metro spokesman Reggie Woodruff.
Police have no motive and no suspects in the case. Woodruff did not know details of the shooting.

Why are the Metro police investigating a crime that occured off Metro property? Isn't that the responsibility of local police?

If he was indeed standing at the bus stop, and that stop has an enclosure, it is Metro property....
