Man shot during NE robbery attempt
A man was shot Thursday night during a robbery attempt in Northeast Washington. D.C. police said a retired police officer apparently fired a weapon while trying to stop the crime.
The condition of the wounded robbery victim could not be immediately learned. Police responded to the 5100 block of Sheriff Road and found the victim after the robbery attempt by two juvenile suspects about 8:30 p.m., said Officer Paul Metcalf, a spokesman.
Police are investigating the involvement of the retired officer, who apparently saw the crime and then tried to intervene and fired a gun, Metcalf said. It was not immediately clear who wounded the victim.

This is our America and until you so called Christians and other religous people start practicing what you preach and care for all people not just your own, our society will continue to fall.
