Man shot in D.C. park

A man was shot and wounded Wednesday night in a Northwest Washington park, D.C. Police said.

Police responded to a small bricked park located at North Capitol Street and Florida Avenue just after 11 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was taken to a hospital with potentially life threatening wounds.

The circumstances that led to the shooting were not immediately clear.

True, questioningauthority. That little triangle-shaped island is more of a transfer point on one's journey from bad to worse.
