Man fatally shot in Southeast

D.C. police identified the victim as Manuel D. Sanchez, 29, of Capital Heights.
UPDATED, 10:59 p.m.
A man who was cleaning up property in Southeast Washington on Friday afternoon was shot and killed, D.C. police said.
Cmdr. Robert Contee said the shooting occurred about 3 p.m. in the rear of the 4600 block of Hillside Road.
The man was apparently behind an apartment house with a crew of people hired for a cleanup when the shooting occurred, Contee said. He said shots were fired following an altercation.
The site is between Benning and Ridge Roads, east of Fort Dupont Park.
