Man shot in Temple Hills

By Clarence Williams

A man was shot and seriously wounded Wednesday night in the hallway of a Temple Hills apartment building, Prince George's County police said.

Witnesses heard the sound of gunshots and then saw a man on the hallway floor of a building in the 4600 block of Dallas Place about 10:50 p.m., said Cpl. Henry Tippett, a spokesman. Officers arrived and found the victim with at least one gunshot wound to the back.

The man was taken to a hospital with potentially life threatening wounds, authorities said. Police had no immediate motive for the shooting.

The victim can thank his lucky stars that several of the shots were blunted by the stolen pork chops he carried in his coat pockets.

Why is the homicide rate in Fairfax County so low compared to PG County?

Can anyone explain that?

Racists aren't the black man's problem. Other black men are.

I know this was meant to be a backhanded racist comment but I think it's a fair question. One, that if PG residents (like myself) truly took the time to answer, would reveal some very hard truths. I'm willing to seriously enter the debate of this question. Anyone else?

There are drug dealers & gangs in Fairfax County. Why aren't they killing each other left & right?

Fairfax County has drug dealers & gangs like everywhere else in the USA. Why aren't they killing each other left & right?

Ok, I'd be mindful of those grandiose remarks. Those that make them, you never know when your moment nor the hour when something like this will confront you.

Yeah, it feels good that this stuff isn't in your neck of the woods right? All I've got to say is, don't prepare your own grave based on others demise. Karma isn't so forgiving...always remember that.

TaxiDriver,

If you could possibly answer this in a serious manner. What do you think the problem is in PG County?
