Man struck by train in Prince George's
An unidentified man was struck by a freight train in Prince George's County before dawn Wednesday, police said, and is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
A CSX train hit the man about 3:16 a.m., on tracks that are located in the 4500 block of Rhode Island Avenue. A Prince George's police spokesman said investigators are trying to determine how and why the man came to be on the tracks.
The investigation has not required any road closures or interrupted commuter train service, authorities said.

Not trying to be funny but honestly, how do you either NOT know you're on train tracks? Or how do you NOT know a train is coming? They're loud...even at low speeds!

Ipod...explains possibly not hearing it. But you'd still know you were on railroad tracks.
Cellphone...seems pretty unlikely. You'd only have that to one ear.
The last 3 are all equally plausible.
