Man wearing Redskins cap robs salon
A man wielding a knife and wearing a cap with a Redskins logo held up a hair salon in Loudoun County Sunday, the sheriff’s office said.
The holdup occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. at the Hair Cuttery in the Ashburn Shopping Plaza in Ashburn Village.
After obtaining cash, the main fled on foot, the sheriff’s office said.
They said the robbery was possibly related to a similar incident that occurred Sept. 6 at a fast food outlet in the Farmwell Hunt Plaza in Ashburn. In that incident a man with a knife took an undisclosed amount from a cash register.
A photograph showed the robber in that incident wearing a baseball-style cap. But the logo could not be readily seen.
