Md. woman dead after barricade situation
Maryland State Police say a woman is dead after a barricade situation in Frederick, ABC 7 reports.
Officers were called to a home on Liberty Road about 12:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of a dispute between a husband and wife. Troopers found the husband outside the home and took him into custody. A woman then came outside with a gun pointed at the troopers, police said.
Troopers fired at the woman, who then barricaded herself in the house.
About 5 a.m., troopers forced their way into the home and found the woman dead with the gun next to her.
Police are not sure if the woman's gunshot wound was self-inflicted or if she was struck by one of the troopers' rounds.
