Md. woman drowns in Shenandoah River
Authorities said that a Maryland woman drowned Saturday in the Shenandoah River in Clarke County while camping with family, Northern Virginia Daily reports.
Andrea Hernandez, 64, of Riverdale was found floating in the river by her son about 8:30 p.m. Saturday north of Watermelon Park outside Berryville, according to Clarke County Sheriff's Sgt. A.M. Feltner.
Feltner said Hernandez and her family were swimming in the river when she stepped away.
Hernandez's death did not appear to be suspicious, Feltner said.
