Rabid kitten found in Wheaton
Montgomery County officials are seeking individuals who may have come in contact with a rabid kitten that was found earlier this month in the 3900 block of Harvard Road in Wheaton.
The kitten, a female, gray, domestic, short-haired tabby, has tested positive for rabies.
If you believe you may have had contact with the kitten, please contact the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Disease Control Program at 240-777-1755. When left untreated, rabies is fatal in humans.
