Officer shot at in N.E. D.C.
D.C. Police are searching for the gunman who fired on an officer who had was investigating the sound of gunfire early Monday morning, Crime Scene reports.
The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Queens Chapel Road NE, police said.
The officer, who was a block away from that location, heard what sounded like gunshots and approached a vehicle with tinted windows to investigate. Someone in the vehicle then fired at the officer, police said.
The officer was not hit and the Cherokee fled the scene.
