Pedestrian struck by truck

A pedestrian was struck by a tractor trailer Monday night on the Capital Beltway in the College Park area, Maryland state police said.

The male victim was taken to a hospital after the incident, which occurred on the outer loop near Route 1, the police said.

No details were immediately available about the circumstances of the incident.
