Police: Girl left in car while mom got high
A Virginia woman is accused of leaving her 3-year-old daughter in a car outside a motel in Frederick while she used heroin inside.
Frederick police say officers were called to the motel about 7 a.m. Tuesday, where they found the girl alone in a car, strapped into a car seat.
Her mother, 34-year-old Marian Larman of Mineral, Va., was found inside a motel room, asleep in the bathroom. Suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia was strewn around the room, and police also found what they believe to be heroin in the car. Police say Larman had checked into the motel about 3 a.m., four hours before her daughter was found.
She's charged with leaving a child unattended in a vehicle, reckless endangerment and drug offenses.
