Police ID body found near Ocean City
Authorities say the body of a man found off the coast of Ocean City has been identified.
Ocean City Police said Tuesday that the man is 22-year-old Melkis DelGado of Washington. DelGado had gone missing while swimming in the surf on Aug. 28.
Police say DelGado's body was seen floating about 16 miles off the coast by a civilian boat on Monday. The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body and police say the state medical examiner's office made an identification through fingerprints.
A cause of death has not been determined.
