Police: Man tried to kill wife with hammer
A Montgomery Village man tried to kill his wife with a hammer late Tuesday night before he stabbed himself to death inside their apartment, Montgomery County police said.
Authorities believe Aggrey Mulo Naya, 46, attacked his wife at their home in the Cider Mill apartment in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle, officials said. His wife, Magdalene Syomba Naya,36, was struck in the head but managed to escape the apartment and was found outside by police who responded to the disturbance about 11 p.m.
Magdalene Naya was taken to a hospital and is hospitalized in critical condition. But she is expected to survive, police said.
Aggrey Naya was found unconscious in a bedroom, suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the state medical examiner ruled his death as a suicide, police said.
The couple has two daughters, ages 15 and 10, who were home asleep during the attack, but were not harmed, police said.

This is almost as ironic as the two gay lovers in PG county, the killers last name was Slaughter and the victim Trueheart who was killed on or about Valentines Day. This guy stabbed his wife then killed himself at Lost Knife Circle. What comes around goes around.

I'm not commenting on the article, I'm commenting on the 3rd grade grammar some of us as adults tend to use on a regular around here.
It's shocking and hilarious at the same time. LOL

Violent people sometimes turn the violence on themselves.

I guess it was...Hammertime? Wow, if you're mad at your spouse there's always divorce. At least you don't catch case over it.

UnknownHenson, that exact same lyric entered my head when I saw the headline. Glad I'm not the geezer with stale '80s/'90s pop culture non sequiturs rattling around the old cranium here.

I learned a very valuable lesson today. Society often makes judgments by what is reported and it could be so far from the truth. When have you ever heard of someone stabbing themselves to death? How do we know his wife didn't do it?
I knew Aggrey and he had a sweet spirit. Now I don't know what went on behind closed doors but this does not sound like the man I know. Something stinks here. Suicide by stabbing? Idk about that one. You would have to be really high on something to do that and wasn't the type of man to use drugs.

Not to mention our 8th grade observations, eh?
Yes, Lost Knife Circle is a bit decrepit. Lots of ugly retail sprawl, dingy little low-rise apartments. Don't know how that street got that evocative name; it always sounded vaguely Native American to me, a little like "Broken Arrow."
