Police are reopening Q Street NW and the Dumbarton bridge tonight after shutting them down because they feared that a man might jump from the bridge onto the Rock Creek Parkway below.
Assistant D.C. police chief Diane Groomes says the man was taken into custody shortly after 7 p.m. The incident caused gridlock in the Dupont Circle area.
Details were not immediately available.
