Serious injury in Waldorf incident

A person was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Tuesday night in the Waldorf area of Charles County, Maryland State police said.
The victim was found, with potentially life threatening injuries, on Route 301 near Holly Tree Avenue, about 10:15 p.m., police said. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
Police released no further details about the incident.
