D.C. police are responding to a shooting that left two males wounded at a check cashing store in Northeast Washington.
The shooting took place at the store in the 2500 block of Benning Road NE about 10:45 a.m., said Eric Frost, a police spokesman.
One of the victims suffered a shot to the head, police said. The other victim’s condition was unknown. Both were transported to a hospital.
At least one suspect – it was not immediately clear how many -- was last seen fleeing down an alley in the same block as the shooting, police said.
