'Suspicious' death in Fairfax

By Erica Johnston

A 61-year-old Fairfax Station man was found dead inside his home Thursday and Fairfax County police are investigating the matter as a suspicious death, officials said.

A family member found the man inside the home in the 5700 block of Ladues End Court and called police about 4 p.m., said Officer Tawny Wright, a spokeswoman. Investigators said the man appeared to suffer trauma, but authorities declined to describe his injuries.

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death and whether the case is a homicide.

"We do suspect foul play," Wright said.

Police said the man's vehicle was missing from the home. The vehicle is described as a gold 2002 Lexus 470 SUV with Virginia license plates XYW-8197, Wright said.

Officials said that anyone who sees the SUV should could call police and not approach the vehicle.

Man, these Asian folks don't mess around in their homes when they are angry! The Virginia Tech guy who beheaded his girlfriend in front of everyone, the guy in Springfield who just this week killed his girlfriend in a restaurant, the Chinese folks in China who are stabbing children almost weekly over there....etc
What gives man? Have they been watching too many American sitcoms?

Too bad the hogs have more intelligence than the farmer.

Hogfarmer is either very stupid or the suspected person. How does Hogfarmer know the identity and race of this 61-year-old man?

Saw this on my way home last night. Hopefully, someone will find out what happened and who is responsible. That is a pretty "safe" area (Burke/Fairfax Station) and something like that doesn't normally happen there. My condolences to the family.

There is no such thing as a "safe" area anymore. Felons have a way of moving to the suburbs like everyone else.

hogfarmer seems to be very ignorant and stupid. As an asian and someone who personally knew this man, it is a shame people like you still exist. Every race commit crimes everyday and somehow you think your race is an exception? How do you know it was an Asian that killed him?

The man killed was a very good man, generous, and took care of his family.
