Three indicted in high-end auto theft scheme
The Howard County Grand Jury has indicted three men in connection with an auto theft ring.
Nam V. Nguyen, 51, of Hyattsville, Edward K. Aboagye, 28, of Laurel and Sean E. Brown, 38, of Douglassville, Ga., were indicted Wednesday on multiple counts of theft.
Last December, acting on a tip, Howard County police observed two of the men loading several high-end vehicles into a shipping container including a 2007 Bentley convertible stolen from Florida on Dec. 15, valued at $150,000; a 2008 Toyota Highlander stolen from the District on Dec. 13 in an armed carjacking, and valued at $25,000; and a 2005 BMW 330, stolen from another county in Maryland on Dec. 13, valued at $20,000.
