Three kitchen fires in D.C.

Kitchens are traditionally hot, but three kitchens in the District had more than their share of high temperatures on Friday.

A pot of food burned on a stove in the 3200 block of Buena Vista Terrace SE,the D.C. fire and emergency medical services department said.

Another pot caught fire in the 600 block of Princeton Place around 5:30 p.m., the fire department said, and a small fire was reported in a kitchen in the 1400 block of 14th Street NE.
