No gator desks for Redskins owner
UPDATE:
Looks as if an earlier report by the New York Post that Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder dropping $600,000 on two alligator leather desks for his FedEx field offices is false.
D.C. Sports Bog reports that sources at the Redskins say the NY Post's alligator desk story is categorically false. Snyder has no office at FedEx, and bought no desks.
"My faith in the New York Post's reporting about misdeeds by famous D.C. sports figures has, yet again, been shattered," Dan Steinberg says.
********************************************************************************
Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder recently spent $600,000 on two alligator leather desks with matching alligator-skin chairs for his FedEx Field offices, the New York Post reports.
Snyder ordered the desks from the New York store Giorgio's of Palm Beach, a representative for the store confirmed.
"Mr. Snyder ordered two desks and two chairs, and they will be delivered in around six weeks," the representative said.

Real men wrestle alligators, not use them as furniture. What a loser.

Yes, because we need to be reminded that our team still makes him a boat load of money, while managing to remain losers. We lost to DETROIT!!!!!!!!!!! Sell them back and donate the money to people who actually need it.

Yet another affirmation as to why I no longer buy anything Redskins related. No tickets, shirts, hats, etc. Nor do I patronize the companies that sponsor the Redskins. No FedEx, Papa John's Pizza, Eastern Motors, etc. Dan Snyder believes within every fiber of his body that foolish Redskins fans and their money are soon parted. Keep paying for the most expensive ticket in the NFL ($95 average) where the beers are $8 and parking is another $30 at FedUp Field. Danny boy needs a $250,000 alligator file cabinet to go with those $600,000 desks. Stop giving that fool your hard earned money.

What a complete pig Dan Snyder is! This is so wrong on so many levels! "Giorgio's of Palm Beach" - how declasse!
Dan Snyder has no clue as to what is good or what is appropriate, he is strictly a nouveau riche (or nouveau leveraged)pig!
Check out the website for "Giorgio's of Palm Beach" , very tired pimp wear BUT it is all covered in alligator, very much for the denture set
the "executive furniture" is very tired kind of 80s (approrpiate in that everything about Dan Snyder says "junk bonds") crap BUT it is all covered in alligator - dead alligator everywhere, acres of dead alligator - ugly red dead alligator
women's shoes very 1992 but alligator
"Giorgio's of Palm Beach" - the finest dead alligator stuff south of Daytona

Wow! Calm down people. Celebrities waste their money on useless purchases all the time. What's the big deal!?

psock1: did I mention we LOST TO DETROIT?!
Even if the story is false, I think Mr. Steinberg should eat a little humble pie. We all believed it was true because of the choices team management and their players have made us suffer through. Especially when you think of DC sports personalities as a whole. Bringing guns into the locker room?! Jason Taylor taking a huge salary, not doing anything productive and going back to Miami to be a star for them?
The coaches need to get tough! Mike Shanahan better bring it, or I'm really gonna be upset!
And when Frassington gets upset, it's all on!!!

So let's see $600,000.00 x 5% Sales Tax = $30,000 donation to NYC. Only thing that should be pissed in that gator.
