Man shot in NE D.C.
A man was shot and wounded in the abdomen Wednesday night in Northeast Washington, D.C. police said.
Officers were called to the 2400 block of Queens Chapel Road, where they found the victim conscious and breathing about 10:15 p.m., said officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman. Authorities received the call from a man in an apartment there, who reported that his roommate had been shot.
It was not immediately clear whether the shooting happened inside or outside of the apartment building. The victim was taken to a hospital, but police did not release any information about his condition.

Mr Williams - is there a Queens Chapel Rd in DC? Michigan Ave becomes Queens Chapel Rd at the Maryland border which begs the question.
Was the assault in DC, or on Queens Chapel Rd?

Queens Chapel Road in DC is different from Queens Chapel Road in Maryland.
It starts at Bladensburg Road just off New York Ave and goes northwest into the Langdon area.

Why is race being mentioned? Nowhere in the article did it mention the victim was black or white, just because it's NE doesn't mean it HAS to be a black person. Even if it happens to be a black person...are you saying whites don't do the same? They just shake the sh*t out of each other like the guy @ UVA right?

I agree with dshannon8455. Nowhere in the article was race mentioned. These "crackers" / "trailor parks", if you will, always trying to inject race into something. Get a life, we now have a black president!!!!!

Many pompous white people on these black crime stories. This area has the least white on white crime in the nation because it is the wealthiest, but go to the midwest, places like Lincoln Park Michigan and Parma Ohio where the white population exceeds 90% and you would perfer southeast. The same commentors that claim blacks are so voilent have incestial cousins in West Virginia and Ohio, but I guess they are twice removed lol

LOL @SHANNON FOR SAYING SHAKE THE SH*T. I GUESS THEY THINK THAT SHAKING SOMEONE TO DEATH IS NOT AS BAD. BOTH CRIMES ARE SAD BUT ITS DEFINITELY A TRAGIC ONE IF A CRACKER HARMS ANOTHER CRACKER. AT LEAST THAT'S HOW THEY SEE IT.

I live in Northeast D.C. and I can assure you that its not limited to Black folks commiting crimes. Mainly its unsavory whites coming across the DC line to do illegal things in our neighborhoods that they wouldn't do in their own. I live less than 1 mile from the MD line and you wouldn't believe the gentlemen in 3 piece suits and expensive cars approaching hookers on the corners and heading up alleys. Every so often the health department comes around asking questions. One can surmise the guys have contracted something and took it home to their families. Not to mention we do have white hookers trying to be Blacker than we are. Crime is crime and it happens everywhere. MoCo does not broadcast its crimes. Just look at the upstanding citizens in MoCo leading DOUBLE LIVES and get caught. For the record, welfare state, you've got to be kidding. I've lived in DC over 35 years, never received a food stamp and work hard every day, my child couldn't qualify for a reduced school lunch. My friends are JUST LIKE ME -- hard workers and family oriented. If you want to rid DC of crime, stop coming across the line from VA, MD and WV to party and/or solicit trying to be hip. You stick out like a sore thumb. Better yet quit commuting to DC for jobs leaving behind your trash, noise and unsavory ways. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON IT ALL.
