Enter our lion cub naming contest

Kimba? Simba? Or maybe just Bob. It's your choice.
The Washington Post, in conjunction with the Smithsonian National Zoo, is sponsoring a naming contest for the zoo's newest editions -- cuddly lion cubs born last summer. But there's a twist. To enter, contestants must submit a video no longer than 90 seconds that provides a name for one of the cubs, plus an explanation for why the cub should have that moniker.
Contest entrants will have the opportunity to name two cubs -- a male and a female. The zoo is offering a few short lion cub clips that you can incorporate into your videos. Entries will be judged on the creativity of the video and thoughtfulness of the name. The zoo's lion keepers will choose three video finalists per cub, and the public will be invited to vote on their favorites.
Submissions are due by midnight on Sunday, Dec. 5. More details about the contest are available here.
This year the National Zoo experienced a baby boom of cub births. On Aug. 31, four lion cubs were born to Shera, one of the zoo's two female lions. Then on Sept. 22, Shera's sister, Nababiep, gave birth to three lion cubs. The zoo's male lion, Luke, is father to all seven cubs.

How about "Sparky" in honor of George "Sparky" Anderson. He's going to have to shoulder the role of big brother after all, and I guess the cub-ette or whatever you call her could be "Grace." That's a classic!

Perry. If it's good enough for a platypus secret agent it's good enough for a cub.

Lyle and Lylah...so they'll be able to say their own names.
PS: I think it's kinda tacky that official entries have to be accompanied by a video. I don't have the equipment to make a video, nor the money with which to buy any. (I still use a 35mm Minolta SLR camera to take still pix. Most home-made videos are borrrring!)

Why on earth do name submissions have to be in video format? That's ridiculous.

I demand they be named "NANCY" and "HARRY."
Something beautiful should be attached to those otherwise horrid names.
