2 shot in Southeast D.C.
Update, 10:12 p.m.:
One of the two people who were shot in Southeast Washington Tuesday night has died, D.C. police said.
Officer Paul Metcalf, a police spokesman, confirmed the death. The other victim, also a male, was critically wounded, Metcalf said.

Two people were shot and critically wounded in Southeast Washington Tuesday night, D.C. police said.
Officers were called to the 4600 block of A Street after residents reported the sound of more than a half dozen gunshots about 8:45 p.m., said Officer Paul Metcalf. Both victims were male, but authorities were not immediately sure of their ages.
One body remained at the scene about an hour after the shootings. The other was taken to the hospital with CPR in progress, police said.
