2 stabbed outside Petworth Metro
Two men were stabbed Monday night near the Petworth Metro station in Northwest Washington, authorities said.
D.C. police said the stabbings occurred around 10 p.m. at Georgia and New Hampshire Avenues NW.
The men were taken to a hospital in what appeared to be serious condition, said a spokesman for the D.C. fire and emergency services department.
There was no immediate indication of what led to the stabbings.

I guess those anti-gun laws are a deterrent for violent crime. Mayor Fenty please hurry up and place a ban on knives or any sharp object that can harm someone. When that happens, I'm sure the crime rate will drop even lower in D.C.

barrysmith1 - that comment is just hilarious! LOL... your comment is funny, yet full of truth. No laws will deter violence in a violent society. The culture in these neighborhoods that see the most violent crimes do not care about the laws. Look at the other laws they break, drinking in public, driving without a license, robbery, drug sales, so why not shootings and stabbings as well?

You would never know from the TV news, but murders and violent crime continue to decline in DC with homicides down by more than 50% since 1990.

The culture in these neighborhoods that see the most violent crimes do not care about the laws. Look at the other laws they break, drinking in public, driving without a license, robbery, drug sales, so why not shootings and stabbings as well?
