Vigil planned for slain D.C. shopkeeper
A candlelight vigil has been scheduled for Tuesday night to remember Raj Patel, the owner of the Newton Food Mart, who was shot and killed Saturday night during a robbery at the Brookland area shop, We Love DC reports.
At 5:45, people will gather at St. Anthony’s on 12th Street NE and walk to the Newton Food Mart at 12th and Newton at 6 p.m. to show support for the Patel family.

Instead of a vigil how about anyone with information on the crime provides it to police so those responsible can be punished?
