Officer files lawsuit against Gallaudet
A public safety sergeant at Gallaudet University has filed a $1.3 million lawsuit claiming that her supervisors at the university failed to discipline a fellow officer who sexually harassed and threatened to kill her if the two could not be together.
Sgt. Akilah Hoover said school officials did nothing as Officer Ruth Ilabor frequently sent Hoover inappropriate messages, declared her love for Hoover in front of their co-workers, and made death threats that required D.C. police and firefighters to respond to the campus.
