Area gas prices continue to drop

Good news for the 685,000 drivers who plan to getaway from the Washington region this weekend: AAA's survey shows that gas prices have dropped 7 cents per gallon in the past week. It's the third week of declining prices, which hit a spring peak of $2.93 a gallon on May 6.
