Barry contract controversy leads to resignation
The fallout from Marion Barry's personal services contract controversy continues with the Rev. Anthony J. Motley stepping down as president of the JOBS Coalition and as head of its workforce development and community outreach programs.
The D.C. Wire reports that Motley was among those singled out in a report last week that found that Barry had secured earmarks for friends, including Motley.
“We accept Rev. Motley’s decision to step down at this time,” John McMahon, Coalition board president and chairman, said in a statement Wednesday. “This action and his cooperation with our internal review demonstrate his commitment to the Coalition’s ongoing work.”

You teased us. It's Barry who should resign. Why do others take the fall for this clown?

That was the intention, I'm sure. So there were at least two of us thinking Marion Barry was going to resign.

YUP ... Damn Thought he had the "grace" to step down. NOPE that will never happen. The oldnegro will never do the right thing until the end. He probably wants a "pharoah's funeral" by the very people who he and his cronies have helped to squander the community's money that was to be used to help them.

Darn, I thought it was Barry's resignation.
