Bicyclist injured in fall near Chain Bridge
A bicyclist was injured Monday evening after apparently skidding down a steep embankment from a popular trail above the Chain Bridge in Northwest Washington.
The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m. on the Capital Crescent trail near the 5700 block of Potomac Avenue NW.
D.C. fire department personnel extricated the bicylist from the brush-covered slope below the trail. Fire department spokesman said the cyclist’s injuries appeared to be scrapes, bumps and bruises.
