Brush fires near CSX tracks under control
The D.C. Fire and EMS is reporting that the brush fires in the vicinity of the Minnesota Avenue Metro are under control. Some traffic delays continue in area around northbound I-295 from before Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast.
Some CSX trains had been stopped while firefighters battled the blazes. But officials say all tracks have reopened.

The D.C. Fire and EMS is reporting that several brush fires have occurred north of Benning Road Northeast near the CSX tracks and in the vicinity of the Minnesota Avenue Metro in Northeast.
Traffic delays are expected.
The low humidity, dry conditions and winds make conditions favorable for the the fires, fire officials say.
