South Capitol Street reopens
UPDATE:
The D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency reports that South Capitol Street has reopened.

Closures along South Capitol Street
South Capitol Street is closed from M Street to Firth Sterling Avenue, and will remain closed for an indefinite period of time, the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency says.
Drivers are advised to avoid South Capitol Street, Frederick Douglass Bridge, Potomac Avenue, and the 395 exits for South Capitol Street.
